Jasmin Dum-Tragut was born on June 10 , 1965 in Feutzberg , Austria. After completing her secondary education in Feutzberg and Köflach , she entered the University of Graz in 1984 , where she studied Slavic studies and Indo-European linguistics. From 1988 to 1990 , she studied Armenology at Yerevan State University. In 1994 , she defended her PhD thesis at the University of Graz , and in 2002 , she defended her PhD thesis at the University of Salzburg . In 2009 , Jasmin Dum-Tragut was awarded an honorary doctorate from the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. Since 2002, she has been an acting professor of general linguistics and Armenology at the University of Salzburg (Austria). In 2016, he graduated from the Veterinary University of Vienna (Equine Science). At the University of Salzburg, he was the director of the Institute for Christian Oriental Studies, head of the Department of Armenian Studies, associate professor of Armenian Studies and General Linguistics, and senior researcher at the Department of Biblical Studies and Church History. He was responsible for the ERASMUS European scientific exchange program for the University of Salzburg and higher education institutions in Armenia. He taught at the Veterinary University of Vienna. He is a scientific advisor to the “Pro Oriente” ecumenical foundation on inter-church relations between the Armenian Apostolic and Catholic Churches in Austria.
