PhD in History-Head of the Department of Ancient History at the Institute of History, National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia; Corresponding Foreign Member of the International Association for Mediterranean and Oriental Studies (ISMEO, Italy). His research interests include the history, archaeology, and religion of the Urartian and post-Urartian periods, the spiritual systems of ancient Armenia, and the study of historical and cultural heritage. He is author of 1 and the co-author of 2 monographs and approximately 40 articles.
