Armenologist David Ananun [David Hovhanovich (Hovhannesovich) Ter-Danielyan, 1880-1943] is a distinguished representative of Armenian social-political, literary and cultural reality of the first thirty years of the XX century. Throughout all his substantive activity he maintained close ties with many representatives of the Armenian reality of that time. His literary and public relations of extremely wide vector with the poet of all Armenians Hovhannes Tumanyan are of particular interest.

A study of words relating to a man and society in the Book of Genesis shows that this semantic group has many verbal units for denoting basic concepts, whether they are simple roots or compound constructions that are combined into subgroups that complement each other. The words included in the subgroups of this semantic field have a rich spectrum in terms of the number of synonyms. Most of these words are of Indo-European origin: մարդ, այր, ծնունդ, մանուկ, հայր, մայր, եղբայր, քոյր, ուստր, դուստր, անդրանիկ, ծնունդ, ընտանիք տուն; there are several borrowings from Iranian (ազգ, տոհմ, զաւակ) and Syrian (տղայ).

For the history of the Armenian Highland and particularly the emergence and development of Armenian nation, the geographical conditions had an important role. Its unbiased analysis can fundamentally change current dominant concepts. It is time for the in-depth study of our history in close relationship with the geographical and climatic peculiarities of the Armenian Highland, which definitely could contribute much for the solution of many problems which until now remain inexplicable. The impact of environment on society is divided into two spheres: 1) Constant influence of geographical environment, 2) global climatic fluctuations which sometimes cover many centuries, 3) natural disasters (volcanoes, earthquakes etc.). Below we shall briefly present first two factors.
